Once you have found a new stock that you are interested in, the first place to start is by going to the companies website and reading their most recent annual reports – they can be found in investor relations.

Annual reports are corporate documents that the management of a company produces to inform shareholders of their activities. It is published once a year and provides a lot of useful information.

In an annual report, you will find information on the financial performance of the company in the last year, the company’s plans for the future and their forecasts for future financial performance.

Companies are required to produce an annual report due to regulation. They are very useful for investors as the reports tell them where the company is today and where they plan to be in the future.
